Job Description

Serves as the area leader in the planning, design, development, and support for health system applications. Manages teams responsible for the design, build, testing, implementation, system upgrades, model enhancements, maintenance, and support of the OSUWMC’s health system applications to ensure levels of stability, reliability and acceptable performance.

This is an application leadership position with required skill sets to manage staff for health system strategic direction, and application design, development, implementation and support. Coordinates major initiatives, including system upgrades, new implementations, expansion of use and breadth of application functionality. Manages projects involving high clinical/safety and/or business risk, scope and impact to the organization; leads and facilitates strategic projects involved in evaluating and researching new and existing products, procedures and/or workflows needs associated with health system applications.

Individual serves as a subject matter expert and manager for health system applications strategies, procedures, policies, and methodologies. Individual provides direction and insight to leaders, peers and team members regarding the identification and alignment of strategic health system application requirements with evolving application, information technology/business opportunities. Recognized across the organization for expertise and sought as a source for resolution of unique or the most complex systems problems.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and 5 years of managing data out of Epic and other key enterprise systems.
