As a IT/OT Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting the IT and OT landscape at our Hitachi Energy sites. You ensure smooth operations for both office IT and shop-floor OT systems, especially those not supported by Global OSS teams. You act as the first responder for IT/OT cybersecurity events and help protect critical factory assets.

You will work close to end users, factory teams, vendors, and global cybersecurity experts. Your focus will be on resolving issues quickly, keeping systems secure, and enabling the factory to operate without disruption.

This is a hands-on role where you troubleshoot, execute on-site support, and contribute to a secure and resilient production environment. You help keep our manufacturing operations safe, stable, and digitally connected.

How you will make an impact

Provide local desk-side support for users, devices, software, and collaboration spaces

Deliver on-site support for factory-owned and managed IT/OT assets

Support OT assets by performing IT/OT cybersecurity operational tasks

Handle daily operations for kiosks, printers, conference rooms, vendor machines, CCTV and security systems, badging systems, and MES scanners

Act as the first responder for cybersecurity incidents: investigate, assess scope, and work with incident responders to contain issues

Identify critical assets that require monitoring and protection

Install and configure security patches and remediation measures for critical OT assets

Report abnormal OT system behavior and escalate events to incident response teams

Work with vendors to ensure secure configuration and maintenance of OT systems

Implement cybersecurity measures for business-managed assets under guidance from global teams and process engineers

Your background

Completed formal IT qualification or apprenticeship

Minimum two years of experience in IT support

Fluent in English and Polish

Proactive, self-driven, and solution-oriented

Comfortable working independently and taking ownership

Familiar with: ServiceNow, MS 365, Windows, iOS, asset management tools

ITIL 4 preferred; Lean Six Sigma certification is an advantage
