Puente Talent Partners connects top Latin American professionals with growing US companies. This role is for one of our US clients, and you would be joining their team directly while being supported by Puente through the hiring process. Our client is the software arm of a talent placement company and operates one of the largest libraries of production web scrapers on Apify: 1,500+ public Actors, 15,000+ users, and a 99% run success rate. They turn any website into clean, structured data and deliver custom scraping projects for companies that need data from hard targets. The team is small, profitable, and bootstrapped, moving fast with a high technical bar. You will report directly to the founder and lead a small engineering team. The team culture prizes ownership, reliability, and rapid iteration, and the systems must run without depending on any single person.

About the role

You will own the Apify Actor portfolio and the AI factories that build and maintain it at scale. You keep everything production-hardened, cost-efficient, and reliable, and you lead a small engineering team so the work scales beyond any single person.What you'll own

• Own the Actor factory: the tooling and agents that produce production-ready Apify Actors at scale, fast and reliably.
• Own maintenance across 1,500+ Actors: catch failures early, drive the success rate up, and push toward agents that resolve most fixes automatically.
• Build and keep reliable the agent infrastructure for building, maintenance, QA, lead generation, and conversion, making it recoverable and easy to migrate as AI tools evolve.
• Advance the distribution factory that distributes and promotes Actors and data products.
• Watch compute, proxy, and model costs, and keep margins healthy as the business grows.

This is a full-time independent contractor role paying up to $3,000 USD per month. Work is fully remote with a Monday-Friday 9 AM-6 PM CT schedule. You will receive a company laptop and collaborate daily in English with the founder and team. The client values high ownership, rapid iteration, and continuous learning in a small, profitable, and bootstrapped environment.

What success looks like

• First 90 Days: You have completed the handover and taken full ownership of the Apify Actor portfolio, keeping the success rate high and stable. You own the agent infrastructure and factories, and they run reliably with minimal manual intervention. You lead the team in the weekly cadence and have shipped at least one meaningful improvement to maintenance automation, reliability, or cost.
