We are a growing, client-focused independent insurance agency seeking an experienced Personal Lines Account Manager to join our team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented insurance professional who takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service and building long-term client relationships.
About the Role
As a Personal Lines Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing and servicing a book of personal insurance clients, including auto, homeowners, renters, umbrella, and related personal lines coverage. You’ll act as a trusted advisor, ensuring clients are properly protected while delivering a seamless service experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day service for a personal lines book of business
- Process policy changes, endorsements, renewals, and new business submissions
- Review policies for accuracy, coverage adequacy, and underwriting compliance
- Handle client inquiries regarding billing, coverage questions, and claims support
- Proactively identify coverage gaps and cross-sell or upsell appropriate products
- Negotiate with carriers and maintain strong carrier relationships
- Maintain accurate documentation and agency management system records
- Ensure compliance with Massachusetts insurance regulations and agency standards
- Build long-term relationships through proactive communication and professionalism
Qualifications
- Massachusetts Property & Casualty Producer License (required)
- 2+ years of personal lines insurance experience (agency side preferred)
- Strong knowledge of personal insurance products and coverage concepts
- Experience working with multiple carriers
- Proficiency with agency management system Applied Epic preferred
- Exceptional communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Client-first mindset with strong attention to detail
