The Product Realization Manager enables and helps drive consistent execution of product and material developments and changes across Oliver Healthcare Packaging (“Oliver”).It focuses on how product developments and changes are translated from initial intent into validated and standardized solutions, through effective application of regulatory insights, design control, change control, and cross-functional collaboration.
The position takes a consultative approach, helping various technical & commercial contributors apply regulatory and quality requirements in a practical and proportionate way throughout development and change processes.It requires a technically strong, hands-on individual, familiar with the specific regulatory and quality requirements of healthcare packaging, who can operate effectively in a matrix environment, bring structure to complex work, and support delivery of practical, high-quality outcomes.
Primary Responsibilities
Product Implementation, Design Control and Change Control
- Support teams to apply regulatory and quality requirements in a pragmatic and risk-based manner, aligned to the needs of the product, customer, market and Oliver.
- Strengthen practical application of design control and change control practices across the product lifecycle, including understanding requirements, design inputs, risk management, planning, verification, validation, and standardization in a structured and documented manner.
- Enable structured risk-based approaches to supplier & customer qualification and product & material onboarding processes, providing advice to ensure a balance between customer needs and design for manufacture.
- Act as a reference point to ensure product and material performance intent is maintained and matches regulatory and quality requirements throughout development and change processes.
- Provide guidance on regulatory expectations in existing and emerging markets, supporting teams in making informed development and commercialization decisions.
- Work with teams to interpret and apply regulatory & customer requirements and risks in a way that supports effective product development, qualification, and change execution.
- Support complex or high-impact projects and events with customers and suppliers to ensure identified technical needs are executed appropriately.
- Help to establish transparency & visibility of product developments and changes.
- Contribute to program and project management discipline, including tracking progress, ownership, and risks.
- Support cross-functional review and alignment to improve execution and decision-making.
- Support development of scalable practices and ways of working that can be consistently applied by teams across the organization.
- Work across functions such as R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Sustainability, Technical, Marketing, Commercial, and Operations teams to improve alignment and provide support executing product and material development and changes.
- Support alignment across regional teams and sites in the above.
- Bachelor’s or equivalent university degree in Science, Engineering, or related field
- 8+ years of professional experience in a regulated product environment (e.g. medical device, pharmaceutical, or healthcare packaging)
- Experience in quality, technical, or product development roles with exposure to design, validation, and change control
- Practical experience working across the product lifecycle, including materials, product design, and customer qualification
- Experience interacting with customers and suppliers on technical or quality topics
- Experience working in cross-functional and multi-site environments
- Solid understanding of materials and product development in regulated environments
- Working knowledge of design control, validation, and change control processes
- Ability to translate technical and regulatory requirements into practical execution
- Structured approach to problem solving and root cause analysis
- Ability to bring clarity and structure to complex, cross-functional activities
- Strong organizational and coordination skills
- Effective collaborator with ability to influence without formal authority
- Pragmatic, hands-on approach with focus on delivery and outcomes
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Proficiency in standard collaboration and office tools (e.g. M365 suite)
- Full proficiency in English required
- Hybrid working model with a combination of remote and on-site work
- Role can be based in Europe, with regular interaction across global teams
- Travel may be required (approximately 30%) to support projects, sites, and customer activities
