Indexed description

We are partnering with an innovative and rapidly growing AI-focused SME developing cutting-edge technologies to support law enforcement and public sector organisations.

This is a unique opportunity to join a scaling business at an early stage, where you will have the autonomy to shape solutions, influence direction, and work on impactful, real-world challenges.

This is a permanent position based in London with flexible working and a salary banding of £60,000 to £90,000 + excellent benefits.

About the Role

We are seeking a Data Scientist to work on advanced analytical solutions across biometric and geospatial (GPS) datasets, with a particular focus on anomaly detection.

You will work with multiple complex data streams, including biometric data captured via wearable technologies and location-based datasets. This role will suit someone who enjoys working close to the intersection of software, data, and hardware, gaining an understanding of how data is captured as well as how it is analysed.

You’ll play a key role in developing scalable models and helping define the technical direction in a fast-paced, evolving environment with minimal structure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deploy data science models, with a focus on anomaly detection
  • Work across multiple datasets, including biometric and GPS/location data
  • Analyse and interpret data generated from wearable hardware devices
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to understand data capture mechanisms and pipelines
  • Contribute to shaping the technical roadmap and direction of the product
  • Explore opportunities to leverage AI/ML techniques (including LLM-related approaches where relevant)
  • Scale solutions from prototype through to production

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Data Scientist within an SME or scaling environment
  • Strong experience in machine learning and anomaly detection techniques
  • Experience working with time-series, biometric, or GPS/location data
  • Understanding of how data is generated from hardware or IoT/wearable devices
  • Ability to operate with limited direction and take ownership of solutions
  • Strong programming skills (e.g. Python, relevant ML libraries)
  • Experience deploying models into production environments

What’s on Offer

  • Salary of £60,000 – £90,000
  • Opportunity to join a high-growth AI company at an early stage
  • High level of ownership and influence over technical direction
  • Work on mission-critical solutions supporting law enforcement
  • Exposure to cutting-edge problems across AI, biometrics, and geospatial data
