Eaton's Electrical division is currently seeking a Power Lab Electrical Test Technician to join our team in Raleigh, NC.
As an Engineering Technician with the Lab Operations team, you will support engineering teams in developing new Eaton power system products and accessories. You'll be part of a team ensuring critical infrastructure-like data centers, businesses, and EV charging stations-remains operational despite power quality issues.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $56,000 - $83,000 a year.

What you'll do:
- Procure, maintain, and organize equipment for seamless operation of Eaton's power labs.
- Install equipment and instrumentation for use in evaluation of power systems products.
- Fabricate, modify, and repair electronic assemblies and related hardware.
- Facilitate large equipment and delicate instrumentation logistics necessary across multiple local facilities.
- Ensure compliance with power labs safety protocols and help maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of procedures, inspections, and incident reports.
- Support equipment calibration events by preparing instruments, coordinating with calibration vendors, and documenting results to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
- Support Engineering's capital equipment acquisition process, including preparing CARs, preparing RFQs, and evaluating supplier proposals. Work with Power Labs Manager to support vendor negotiations, budget adherence, and timely delivery of equipment for operational and project requirements.
This role could be the next step in your career if you demonstrate the following experience:
- Associate's degree in Electronics from an accredited institution OR in lieu of degree, an Electronic/Electrical Engineering Technology certificate/Military training and 3 years' experience in an engineering support role.
- Minimum one to threeyears' experience in an engineering or technical role.
- Valid drivers license
You will set yourself apart by demonstrating some or all of the following:
- Experience working with single and multiphase low voltage electrical systems.
- Understanding electronic circuit theory of operation and troubleshooting.
- Experience with electronic component parametric evaluation.
- Use of electronic test instrumentation including digital oscilloscopes, power meters, digital multimeters, and data loggers.
- Experience utilizing electromechanical prototype fabrication techniques, tools, and materials.
- Knowledge of basic electricity.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with MS Office.
- Collaboratively oriented, proactive and hands-on approach to problem solving, takes initiative to drive tasks to completion, able to deliver results with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
We will not consider candidates who:
- No relocation assistance is available for this position. Candidates must be located within a 50-mile radius of Raleigh, NC. Active Duty Military Service Member candidates are exempt from these geographic requirements.

Keys to role success:
- Experience as a Qualified Electrical Worker.
- PCBA rework, modification, and soldering techniques.
- Experience acquiring critical/ large electrical hardware.
- Technical writing experience.
- Experience with powered pallet jacks and/or forklifts.
