A leading technology services organisation is looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to join its growing managed services team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious infrastructure professional looking to develop their career in a modern enterprise environment, gaining exposure to cloud, virtualisation, monitoring, and critical infrastructure operations.
You'll play a key role in monitoring, incident management, backup validation, patching support, and infrastructure administration across both Azure and on-premise platforms.
The Role
- Monitor and manage infrastructure alerts across cloud and on-premise environments
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve infrastructure incidents
- Manage ticket lifecycles through ITSM processes and SLA targets
- Perform daily backup validation and support remediation activities
- Support monthly patching activities across Windows, Linux, Azure, and VMware estates
- Assist with Azure and VMware virtual machine administration and troubleshooting
- Contribute to operational documentation, runbooks, and knowledge sharing
- Participate in a shared on-call rota providing first-response support for critical incidents
What We're Looking For
- Good experience in infrastructure support, ideally within a managed services environment
- Experience using monitoring tools and ITSM platforms
- Good Windows Server administration and troubleshooting skills
- Exposure to VMware vSphere and Microsoft Azure environments
- Understanding of backup technologies and operational support processes
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills
- Knowledge of ITIL-based service management practices
