Job Description The System Engineer (Linux -RedHat) is a senior Linux systems administrator responsible for deploying, optimizing, and configuring Intelerad's Linux-based application environments. This role drives operational excellence through automation and standardized deployment practices while ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of critical medical imaging systems. The System Engineer (Linux -RedHat) partners closely with engineering and operations teams to continuously improve system resilience, supports the organization's cloud journey, and plays a key role in developing team capability through documentation and knowledge transfer.  Key Responsibilities  Deploy, Configure, and Maintain Systems: Install, configure, and optimize Intelerad's software solutions on Linux-based servers, performing complex server additions, software upgrades, configuration changes, and disaster recovery activities with minimal client impact.  Automation Contribution and Infrastructure Standardization: Develop scripts, automation tooling, and streamline system administration workflows, standardize deployment architectures, and reduce manual effort across the team.  Ensure System Reliability and Performance: implement improvements to processes, configurations, and technologies to maximize application robustness, uptime, and performance across server, network, and storage layers.  Provide Technical Support and Escalation: Perform third-level support in the areas of systems changes, participate in operational tasks spanning multiple products, and contribute to on-call rotation to address after-hours emergencies.  Qualifications Qualifications & Experience  Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience  5-7+ years of system administration experience in Linux-based environments  Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) certification or equivalent hands-on experience required; proficiency with RHEL 7, 8, and 9  Proficiency with PostgreSQL  Scripting and automation skills in Shell, Python, or PowerShell  Solid understanding of Linux and Windows operating systems, networking, and storage  Strong technical aptitude Excellent teamwork skills and ability to develop and maintain internal and external relationships  Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and sense of ownership  Ability to work well under pressure, sometimes under strict deadlines  On-call support for critical production systems is required  May serve as technical escalation point for high-severity incidents  Preferred Qualifications & Special Requirements  Understanding of medical imaging and healthcare IT environments  Experience with NoSQL and SQL databases  Knowledge of version tracking tools such as Git or Mercurial  Exposure to cloud-native services, particularly AWS  Systems administration or IT certifications in Linux or network-related fields  Travel Requirements  None  This job description is not a comprehensive list of tasks or requirements and Intelerad reserves the right to change it at any time. Pay may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Intelerad is a total compensation company. Pay is dependent on the position offered. Bonus and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, retirement, PTO, and/or other benefits.
