The Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced Application Manager to join our team. As an Application Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the application lifecycle and strategy, ensuring service design alignment with IT standards, and managing supplier relationships. You will play a crucial role in ensuring high-quality service operation, change management, configuration management, and knowledge management for the applications in scope.
How You'll Make an Impact:
- Support the application lifecycle and strategy, including planning, development, implementation, and maintenance.
- Ensure service design aligns with IT standards and best practices.
- Manage supplier and stakeholder relationships ensure effective collaboration, communication, and SLA compliance,
- Oversee Service Catalogue Management, ensuring accurate and up-to-date service documentation.
- Implement and maintain Availability Management processes to maximize system uptime and minimize downtime.
- Ensure high-quality service operations through effective management of incidents, events, and problems.
- Lead change management activities, including release, deployment, testing, and validation.
- Manage application configuration and ensure accurate technical and configuration documentation.
- Promote strong knowledge management practices to enable efficient troubleshooting and informed decision-making and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor application costs, ensure compliance with budgets and internal controls (including ICOFR where applicable)
Your Background:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience), combined with proven experience in application lifecycle management, service design, and supplier relationship management.
- Strong knowledge of ITIL frameworks and best practices, with hands-on experience in managing Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Service Catalogue Management.
- Proficiency in incident, event, and problem management processes, ensuring efficient handling and resolution of operational issues.
- Familiarity with change management practices, including release, deployment, and testing, as well as experience in configuration and knowledge management.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment, effectively engaging with diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to various audiences, both verbally and in writing.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently while maintaining strong attention to detail.
- Possess a growth mindset with a willingness to learn, strong prioritization and excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
