What’s On Offer

  • The primary objective of this role is to identify, drive and support the Equity Derivatives business across initiatives and market structure changes.
  • The role will have exposure to both listed and OTC derivatives markets.
  • he role will be involved in implementing, developing and monitoring of commerial market making schemes for clients.

What You’ll Do

  • Work within the Markets Product Management team, which is responsible for over $300 million in revenue for ASX. The Markets Division is one of ASX’s vertical lines of business and is responsible for operating transparent, effective markets that transfer capital and risk, instil customer confidence, and meet licence requirements and obligations.
  • Be an active problem solver, driving efficiency and growth across initiatives or product enhancements.
  • Be part of the team supporting ASX’s Derivatives and Investment Products businesses, with responsibilities spanning research, analysis, product development, customer engagement and marketing.
  • Understand customer needs and deliver outcomes that achieve desirable results for our customers and the business.
  • Assist with delivering feasibility studies, business cases and product suitability reviews.
  • Research, identify and analyse on-shore and off-shore markets to support growth initiatives within the existing ASX Products business.
  • Support the Distribution team with analytics and materials for client meetings.
  • Prepare presentations for senior management, regulators, industry conferences and bodies.
  • Support market maker/incentive schemes and processes - liaising with Asset Class Leads, Legal, Risk and Operations.
  • Support and participate in maintaining excellent relationships with regulators, brokers, clearers, end clients and market makers through regular engagement.

What You’ve Done

  • Exposure to domestic and/or international markets, across listed and/or OTC products.
  • Tertiary qualifications.
  • Sourcing and providing data driven analytics to support recommendations and decision-making.
  • User of collaboration and workflow management tools like JIRA, Confluence and MS Office applications including CoPilot
  • Demonstrated markets experience in trading, sales, operations, clearing or risk management functions.
  • Successfully presented to small and large groups of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of trading, clearing, margining and risk management practices.

And if you’ve got some of this, even better:

  • Understanding of derivatives products and the role an exchange plays within financial markets.
  • Data analytics experience – coding and data extraction (e.g. Python, SQL), visualisation tools, and report generation.
  • Customer engagement experience.
  • Project delivery experience.
  • Exposure to working with Regulators.
