## About this role

## Key Responsibilities

- Develop and ship features across the backend (Python/FastAPI) and frontend (React/Next.js/TypeScript) - Build data pipelines for evaluation and model control layers - Own secure document pipelines, ensuring no data leakage while managing permissions across S3, GCS, and Azure - Develop OCR and search systems for PDFs, images, and scanned documents - Parse and enforce complex nested JSON structures - Create document tooling for generating, editing, and annotating PDFs and images - Debug and scale pipelines and storage systems to improve performance and reliability - Enhance system design across the stack

## Qualifications

- Proven experience as a strong builder with Python (FastAPI) and React - Comfortable working across the technology stack - Solid understanding of APIs, SQL, async systems, and data modeling - Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure - Ability to work with complex data systems or pipelines - Demonstrated high ownership, low ego, and fast execution - Preferred experience with LLM or AI systems, OCR, document processing, or search systems - Experience in secure data handling and permissions - Track record of building and shipping real systems, not just tutorials

## Work Terms

This is a full-time remote position, requiring at least 6-8 hours of overlap with the PST timezone. Applicants must be eligible to work in the specified remote location and meet the timezone overlap requirement.
