Director, Financial Systems (SAP)

Role Overview

The Director of Financial Systems owns the strategy, governance, and optimization of the organization’s SAP financial systems and financial technology ecosystem. This role serves as the bridge between FP&A, Accounting, and Technology, ensuring financial data is accurate, timely, and actionable.

What You Will Do

Owns and optimizes SAP systems supporting Record-to-Report, Order-to-Cash, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), and ARIBA. Translates Finance requirements into scalable system solutions and data models. Leads upgrades, rollouts and continuous improvements along with managing SAP enhancement backlog and prioritizes initiatives based on business value.

Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field.
• Minimum 10+ years of experience in SAP financial systems or finance transformation roles
• Deep functional expertise in SAP and experience leading SAP implementations, upgrades, or S/4 HANA migrations
• Experience with SAP BW/4HANA, SAP Analytics Cloud, or Group Reporting
• Experience in complex, multi-entity or global SAP environments
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and finance processes
• Experience with SOX controls, audits, and SAP security concepts
• Proven leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Ability to bridge finance, technology, and business stakeholders
• Detail-oriented with a focus on governance and outcomes
