Role Overview
The Senior Vice President, Leadership, Infrastructure, & Transformation will lead the Leadership, Infrastructure, and Transformation (LIT) Division at ASTHO, guiding, developing, and implementing cross-program, cross-sector solutions to state and territorial health public health issues and concerns. The role will oversee four units, including Public Health Data Modernization & Informatics, Public Health Infrastructure and Workforce, Leadership and Meetings, and Strategic Business Development and Partnerships.

The Senior Vice President will lead cross-sector, cross-program, and interdisciplinary efforts to assess, develop, and implement innovative solutions to complex, modern public health challenges. This includes technological infrastructure modernization and transformative engagement with healthcare and other sectors for state and territorial agencies.

Requirements
- MD or Doctorate in public health with public health leadership experience or executive business experience in a relevant field
- Minimum 10 years of experience in public health or relevant business efforts with health and multi-sector leadership, collaboration, and extensive leadership and partnership experience
- Expertise and experience in healthcare and technology partnerships and collaboration
- Extensive knowledge of a range of public health issues and policies at the local, state, and/or federal level
- Knowledge of association or membership organization environments
- Demonstrated ability to handle complex assignments autonomously
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information and interface with the highest level of internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including report writing and giving formal presentations
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent critical and systems thinking
- Excellent ability to present, explain, and share complex ideas in a variety of formats for different audiences
- Expert attention to detail
- Extensive experience working for or with state/territorial or local health agencies
- Ability and willingness to travel
