About the job Lead Systems Administrator:

The incumbent is responsible managing a team of Systems Administrators, Application Engineers as well as Data Storage Administrators. He/She is also responsible for installing, managing, and maintaining Windows-based systems and related applications.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent qualification from a recognized tertiary institution.
  • A minimum of five (5) years work experience supporting network workstations, Avaya desk phones and PC applications, including experience with wide area networks, windows administration, Microsoft Exchange Online, Microsoft Azure and Microsoft SharePoint Online.

Desirable:

  • Microsoft MCSE, CCNA certification or similar.
  • At least two (2) years of experience in administering server-side technology and networked computing systems.

Specialized Skills, Techniques/Learned Disciplines:

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft applications such as O365, Azure, SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, Projects Online etc.
  • Advanced knowledge of Windows-based systems such as DNS, DHCP, File Shares etc.
  • Advanced knowledge of Hypervisors such as VMWare, Citrix etc.
  • Sound knowledge of SANs, NAS, DAS etc.
  • Working knowledge of PBX such as Avaya, Cisco.
  • Understanding of communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP) and routing protocols (e.g. BGP,
    OSPF)
