Software Engineer — Python / JavaScript / AWS

## What we are looking for

• Strong experience as a Software Engineer, Backend Engineer, or Full-Stack Engineer.
• Solid hands-on experience with Python.
• Experience with JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
• Experience building and maintaining modular, scalable applications.
• Familiarity with AWS or similar cloud platforms.
• Good understanding of APIs, microservices, CI/CD, testing, and production systems.
• Ability to communicate professionally in English.
• Availability to work in a hybrid model in Medellín or nearby areas.

You do not need to have direct production experience in Voice AI, but you should be comfortable designing reliable, scalable systems and learning quickly in a fast-moving technical environment.

Tesoro AI is building a team of experienced software engineers to support innovative healthcare technology initiatives for organizations across the United States.

As a Software Engineer, you will help design, develop, deploy, and scale applications that support medical front-office workflows such as appointment scheduling, financial clearance, patient inquiries, and data processing.You will also contribute to systems related to real-time voice AI applications, including integrations with speech-to-text, text-to-speech, NLP models, and conversational AI tools.The role is ideal for a strong backend or full-stack engineer who enjoys building production-grade systems, improving reliability, working with cloud infrastructure, and contributing to high-impact healthcare technology.

## What you will work on

• Build and maintain scalable applications using Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, cloud services, and modern engineering practices.
• Design and optimize backend systems that support administrative self-service, patient workflows, and real-time voice interactions.
• Work with cloud-based providers such as AWS and enterprise platforms such as Salesforce Health Cloud.
• Contribute to system reliability, telemetry, monitoring, testing, and automation.
• Help improve performance for low-latency voice and conversational AI workflows.
• Collaborate with product, implementation, patient care, and technical teams to ship reliable solutions.
• Support secure development practices in a regulated environment.

## Nice to have
