- Support the Project Superintendent in managing day-to-day field activities to ensure project milestones are met
- Assist in coordinating and scheduling subcontractors, foremen, and crews
- Monitor site safety and assist in enforcing safety standards and procedures
- Help ensure compliance with contract specifications, drawings, and regulatory requirements
- Track project progress and assist with reporting on productivity, schedule, and budget adherence
- Participate in jobsite meetings with the owner, consultants, and inspectors
- Communicate effectively with field staff, vendors, and project management teams
- Help identify and resolve field issues in collaboration with the Project Superintendent and engineers
- Maintain accurate daily reports, logs, and documentation
- Support quality assurance/quality control procedures in the field
- Contribute to the training and development of craft personnel and foremen
- Promote and maintain positive working relationships with clients, suppliers, and team members
- Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in Heavy Civil Highway construction.
- Familiarity with FDOT contracts, specifications, and reporting requirements
- OSHA 10 certification preferred
- Ability to work independently and solve problems effectively in a fast-paced construction environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with strong verbal and written communication
- Strong organizational and leadership skills with a proactive, team-oriented approach
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and have an excellent driving record
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and adapt to physically demanding tasks, including:
- Standing, walking, bending, and climbing for extended periods
- Lifting and carrying materials up to 50 lbs
- Navigating uneven terrain and working in close proximity to heavy equipment
- Willingness to travel to various job sites as needed
