Overview
We are a ship repair and industrial coatings company specializing in large commercial vessels. We are looking for a Marine Project Manager / Estimator who can step in immediately, take ownership of projects, and help drive growth in our Florida operations.
This role is not entry-level — we need someone who can operate independently, manage both estimating and execution, and contribute to both project success and business development.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
Estimating & Pre-Construction
- Review and sanitize incoming bids and RFQs to ensure alignment with company capabilities
- Build accurate, competitive estimates using internal programs
- Collaborate with leadership to finalize pricing and proposals
- Develop estimates for ship repair, blasting, and coatings scopes
Project Management & Execution
- Manage projects from award through closeout
- Coordinate with superintendents, foremen, and crews to ensure execution stays on track
- Track labor, materials, and budgets to maintain profitability
- Identify and manage change orders and scope growth opportunities
- Communicate progress, challenges, and updates with customers and stakeholders
Operations & Leadership
- Work closely with the Marine Paint Superintendent and hold field operations accountable
- Participate in production meetings with clients, primes, and internal teams
- Set the tone for project teams — accountability, urgency, and professionalism
- Support a strong team culture built on mutual respect and performance
Business Development & Growth
- Build and maintain relationships with customers, contractors, and partners
- Identify opportunities to upsell and expand project scope once vessels are on-site
- Recognize additional work opportunities and confidently present them to clients
- Help grow company presence in the Florida market (primarily Tampa, but not limited to)
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in marine repair, coatings, shipyard operations, or heavy industrial projects
- Proven ability to handle both estimating and project management responsibilities
- Strong understanding of blasting, coatings, and marine production processes
- Ability to read drawings, specs, and bid documents
- Comfortable managing budgets, labor tracking, and job costing
- Strong communication skills with both field teams and clients
- Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, high-demand environment

Compensation
- $90K–$145K base salary
