We’re looking for a commercially-minded Finance Business Partner to join our team 3 days per week, supporting operations across Australia and our Utah site. This role is central to driving financial insight, improving performance, and partnering with operational and commercial teams to support decision-making.
The Role
You’ll bridge the gap between finance and the wider business by delivering high-quality reporting, forecasting, and analysis while providing clear, actionable insights to leadership teams.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting & Analysis
- Deliver month-end reporting and management accounts for commercial and operations teams
- Provide regular sales, commercial, environmental and operational reporting
- Monitor inventory, sales performance, and credit control
- Build and maintain reporting in Tagetik
- Conduct ad hoc financial analysis
- Lead local budgeting and forecasting processes
- Track performance against budget and analyse variances
- Model the impact of variances in spend and activity on the cost of production
- Support strategic decisions through scenario modelling
- Work closely with leadership and budget holders to explain financial performance
- Investigate and resolve any identified financial issues
- Present insights at site meetings
- Support business case development and financial processes
- Support non-finance teams in use of finance systems such as Concur, SAP and eRequest
- Partner with commercial teams and our external logistics & billing partner to manage receivables
- Support system improvements and finance process changes
- Review payment runs and assist with financial controls
- Provide occasional transaction processing support to the Senior Accountant
- Lead the periodic fixed asset physical verification process
- Participate in activities required to meet site wide objectives including safety walks.
- Other ad hoc support to the local and global finance teams, as required.
- Proven experience in a finance role, ideally within manufacturing or pharmaceuticals
- CPA/CA qualified (or working towards) or equivalent experience
- Strong financial reporting and analytical skills
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with accounting systems (SAP desirable)
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence non-finance stakeholders
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing priorities
- Self-starter with a proactive and collaborative approach
