Project Financial Coordinator
Salary: £50,000 - £70,000 dependent on experience
Immediate to start
On-going temporary position
Location: Hybrid (2 days per week on-site)
About the Role:
An established organisation within a fast-growing infrastructure sector is looking for a Project Financial Coordinator to support both financial operations and project administration activities. This position involves working closely with project and finance teams to ensure accurate tracking, reporting, and coordination across multiple initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Support finance operations by assisting with invoicing, payment processing, and maintaining accurate financial records.
- Coordinate the creation of service agreements, proposals, and supporting documentation.
- Maintain and organise project-related documentation in internal systems (e.g. document repositories).
- Monitor project communications and ensure tasks are followed through to completion.
- Collaborate regularly with Project Managers to ensure financial data and project tracking remain accurate.
- Provide administrative support across internal operational platforms.
- Assist with onboarding and training materials for project teams as required.
- Partner with finance teams to validate project and asset data prior to budget cycles.
- Track and manage budget allocations, including changes or additional funding requirements throughout the year.
- Compile and prepare finalised budget data for submission to finance teams.
Key Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a combined administrative and finance-related role.
- Practical knowledge of accounting processes such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and budget monitoring.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (including data analysis and reporting).
- Experience managing financial oversight across multiple projects or programmes simultaneously.
- Exposure to creating and maintaining purchase orders and service agreements.
- Solid understanding of budget forecasting, including identifying variances (favourable and unfavourable).
- Experience working with financial tracking systems and standardising budget processes.
- Professional, detail-oriented approach.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Desirable Experience:
- Familiarity with property or asset management systems (e.g. Yardi or similar).
- Experience using enterprise finance platforms (e.g. Oracle or equivalent).
- Background in infrastructure, property, or technical facilities environments.
- Experience working across international teams and managing different time zones.
