About the role:

We’re looking for a Senior Account Executive to join our Sydney team, working across a mix of consumer and lifestyle brands.

This is a hands-on, fast-moving role for someone who loves earned, social and culture and wants to be part of creating ideas that get people talking.

You’ll support the day-to-day running of accounts, helping bring integrated PR and social campaigns to life. From pitching stories and managing media relationships to supporting influencer activity and creating social content, no two days are the same.

You’ll be working closely with senior team members, but equally expected to take ownership, show initiative and get stuck into the work.

On any given day, you will:

  • Build relationships with journalists, influencers and creators
  • Support influencer outreach, partnerships and campaign execution
  • Assist in ideating social ideas and bringing these social-first ideas to life
  • Write media materials, captions and content across earned and owned channels
  • Draft and pitch stories to media
  • Monitor media and social trends to help spot opportunities
  • Help manage campaign logistics, timelines and reporting
  • Contribute to creative brainstorms and proactively bring ideas to the table

What we’re looking for:

First and foremost, you live our values: Show Up Fearless, Stay Curious, Be Kind and Go Home Proud.

We’re looking for someone who is proactive, culturally plugged-in and excited by the fast pace of consumer PR and social. You’re a team player who’s keen to learn, grow and get involved.

Skills and experience:

  • 3+ years’ experience in PR, communications, social or a related field
  • Strong interest in consumer brands, media, influencers and social trends
  • Solid media relations fundamentals, with confidence pitching stories
  • Great writing skills, from media releases to captions and content
  • Understanding of how PR and social connect to drive conversation and coverage
  • Highly organised, with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and keep things moving
  • A collaborative attitude and willingness to learn

Bonus if you have:

  • Experience working with influencers or creators
  • Exposure to social content planning or production
  • A strong sense of what’s trending in culture, media and online

What we can offer you:

  • The chance to work on exciting, culturally relevant consumer brands, including global names
  • A supportive team with strong mentorship and clear pathways for growth
  • Hands-on experience across PR, social and influencer campaigns
  • The opportunity to contribute creatively and develop your craft
  • Flexibility and a people-first approach to how we work

At Herd MSL we encourage our people to work in a way that provides balance, and we pride ourselves in fostering a behavioural led approach to flexibility. We are fun and fast-paced and thrive in a learning-based culture.

As part of our team, you will also enjoy a heap of added benefits including flexible work hours, having your Birthday off, industry leading parental leave, health and wellbeing support, giving back days and additional leave with longevity. You will also have access to industry leading mentors and much more.

If you’re ambitious, naturally curious and a media-gun, please apply!
