Could you be the full-time Traction Product Manager in Bangalore we’re looking for?

You'll play a pivotal role in managing traction products to ensure they meet Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) commitments. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business, including Project or Sub-System Managers, Train Engineers, Site Engineering Managers, and Customer Technical Representatives to ensure seamless collaboration and delivery. You will also represent the engineering team in front of customers and partners to provide updates on design progress and address technical discussions.
You’ll specifically take care of managing engineering work packages, defining and applying the Engineering Management Plan, and leading the project engineering core team, but also drive risk mitigation strategies and ensure project milestones are met.
We’ll look to you for:
- Managing project engineering activities to deliver Engineering Work Packages aligned with QCD commitments
- Representing Engineering within project core teams and managing interfaces with various stakeholders
- Providing regular reporting and performance analysis
- Defining and ensuring the application of the Engineering Management Plan
- Managing the project engineering core team functionally
- Driving engineering risk mitigation and savings action plans
- Approving, as a member of CCB, applicable modifications on product, and updates QCD accordingly. TrSE remains responsible for applicable configuration.
- Managing the Global Scheduling Convergence, with support of Engineering Planning Manager.
- Managing the Operational Quality in order to improve Project execution, with support of Engineering Quality Manager:
- Plans necessary Design Reviews, checks mandatory attendees are invited, makes sure they are done on-time and issues are opened in PSLI
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or High Voltage engineering with 15 – 20 Years of experience.
- Experience or understanding of traction products and engineering tasks is must.
- Knowledge of Auxiliary Converter product development and project engineering management
- Familiarity with managing engineering work packages
- A project management certification is a plus
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
