Procurement Specialist

Procurement Specialist shall be responsible to execute Post Order management activities for all assigned projects to achieve the on time Delivery and to meet the Supply Chain management department objectives

• Responsible for executing the post order management of all Raw Material Purchases including logistics till delivery.
• Prepare and update project material plan encompassing the timelines for MR Releases, PO Placements,
• Material Delivery and Logistics for assigned projects.
• Responsible for collaboration with Sourcing Cell, PMT and Engineering for timely ordering of material as per the project plan.
• Review the plan frequently for all the assigned projects and to take necessary corrective action by coordinating with respective departments/Vendors to meet the required planned delivery date.
• Provide input to Sr, Procurement Specialist/ Lead Procurement Specialist for preparing project expediting plan for assigned projects after review with the Project Manage.
• Ensure that the vendors are performing as per the terms and conditions of purchase order in general. Noncompliance of contractual requirements if any must be taken up immediately with Vendor for compliance or to escalate to Management.
• Ensure timely submission of engineering documents and Progress status reports by suppliers Coordinate with Engineering/ projects/ Inspection for early approval of documents and ensure Engineering clearance for starting the manufacturing within the stipulated time to avoid impact on delivery.
• Monitor the performance of suppliers and ensure that the manufacturing is progressing as per the agreed delivery schedule.
• Escalate any deviations or challenges to key stakeholders for immediate resolution.
• Ensure timely and accurate updating of procurement status reports.
• Coordinate for inspection as per approved Inspection Test Plan
• Update the material shipment plan as per the project requirement
• Coordinate for inbound logistics including vendor finalization if required and ensure for KPI monitoring.
• Provide feedback on the performance of the suppliers to the Sourcing Cell.
• Ensure that the departmental KPI’s are met and submit regular reports.
• Organize the department, section or workplace so that any operation or work carried out is to a satisfactory
• standard of safety, with minimum risk to persons, materials and equipment.
• Implementation of Health and Safety management system.
• Participates to HIARA and for new activities/task
• Takes part in all accident / incident investigation.
• Allocate enough time for Toolbox meetings and HSE trainings.
• Co-operate in the investigation of accidents with the objective of introducing methods to prevent re- ccurrence.
• Report all the unsafe conditions, near misses, Incidents etc. immediately to HSE department and ensure adequate control measures are taken to rectify the issues.
• This position requires the candidate to have a Diploma/Degree with relevant experience as mentioned below.
• A Diploma/Degree in engineering will be of an added advantage
• The candidate shall have more than 3-14 years of experience in Procurement and expediting for EPC/Skid based Package Manufacturing Industry/EPCM Organization

Job will generally be performed in an office environment at Chennai, India, but may require travel.

• Experience of working in ERP environment is must.
• Experience of working in SAP environment will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge of MS office is mandatory
