Must have skills : Cobol Mainframe

Good to have skills : IBM CICS, Virtual Storage Access Method (VSAM), IBM Db2

Summary:

As a Web Developer, a typical day involves designing, constructing, and thoroughly testing web-based applications that support various components of a website. The role includes editing and updating site content to ensure relevance and accuracy. Additionally, documenting technical designs and specifications is a key part of the daily routine. Continuous research to integrate the latest content and improvements into websites is also essential, contributing to an engaging and up-to-date user experience.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
• Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
• Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of web components.
• Maintain and update existing web applications to enhance performance and user experience.
• Assist junior team members by sharing knowledge and providing guidance on project tasks.
• Continuously monitor web application functionality and troubleshoot issues as they arise.

Professional & Technical Skills:

• Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Cobol Mainframe.
• Good To Have Skills: Experience with IBM CICS (Customer Information Control System), IBM Db2, Virtual Storage Access Method (VSAM).
• Strong understanding of mainframe application development and maintenance.
• Experience in debugging and optimizing legacy code for improved efficiency.
• Familiarity with database management and transaction processing in mainframe environments.
• Ability to work with complex data structures and ensure data integrity across applications.

Additional Information:

• The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in Cobol Mainframe.
• This position is based at our Chennai office.
• A 15 years full time education is required.
