Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Subject Matter Expert / Senior Business Analyst with deep domain expertise in Core Banking to join our team in Chennai. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in bridging business needs with technology solutions, driving product enhancements, and delivering high-impact banking solutions for global clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a domain expert in Core Banking, providing functional guidance across product development and implementation.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
- Translate business needs into detailed functional specifications, use cases, and workflows.
- Work closely with product managers, architects, and development teams to ensure accurate solution delivery.
- Lead requirement workshops, client discussions, and solution walkthroughs.
- Provide insights on banking trends, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Support product customization, implementation, and post-production activities.
- Identify gaps, recommend process improvements, and drive continuous optimization.
- Mentor junior analysts and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or SME in the Banking/Financial Services domain.
- Strong hands-on experience in Core Banking systems (e.g., retail banking, corporate banking, lending, payments, deposits).
- In-depth understanding of banking operations, products, and processes.
- Proven experience in requirement elicitation, BRD/FRD documentation, and stakeholder management.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum and/or Waterfall methodologies.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with global banking clients.
- Exposure to digital banking platforms and transformation initiatives.
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements.
- Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP) or Banking domain is a plus.
