Job Title: Project Head – Corporate Headquarters Construction


Location: Chennai

Project Size: ~5,00,000 sq. ft.

Timeline: 36 months

Role Purpose:


Lead the end-to-end development of Muthoot FinCorp’s new Corporate Headquarters in Chennai. The role carries full accountability for delivering a landmark, ultra-modern, sustainable, and talent centric corporate campus within defined timelines, cost, and quality standards. The role also requires building a high-performance project team from inception.

Key Responsibilities:


1.End to End Project Ownership

  • Lead the project from design finalization through construction, commissioning, and handover
  • Deliver the project within the 36 month timeline with strict milestone discipline
  • Establish governance, reporting, and review mechanisms for leadership oversight


2.Build and Lead the Project Team

  • Set up the entire project organization from scratch
  • Hire and lead core functions including project management, engineering, contracts, procurement, and site execution
  • Build a culture of ownership, accountability, and execution excellence


3.Planning and Execution Excellence

  • Develop detailed project plans covering timelines, resources, procurement, and risk mitigation
  • Ensure seamless coordination between architecture, structure, MEP, and technology integration
  • Monitor execution rigorously through site reviews and performance dashboards


4.Stakeholder and Partner Management

  • Manage architects, consultants, contractors, and vendors
  • Act as the single point of accountability for all stakeholders
  • Ensure timely decisions and resolution of execution challenges


5.Cost and Commercial Management

  • Own project budgeting, cost control, and cash flow management
  • Drive value engineering without compromising long term quality
  • Lead contracting strategy, negotiations, and procurement


6.Sustainability and Green Building

  • Deliver a benchmark green building aligned with global standards such as LEED or IGBC
  • Take full ownership for achieving LEED certification, including documentation, coordination with certification bodies, and ensuring compliance across design and execution stages
  • Integrate energy efficiency, renewable energy, water management, and sustainable materials
  • Position the headquarters as a model for responsible infrastructure


7.Quality and Safety Leadership

  • Establish strong quality assurance and control frameworks
  • Ensure adherence to all safety standards and drive a zero-incident culture


8.Regulatory and Compliance

  • Secure all statutory approvals and ensure compliance with regulations
  • Liaise with authorities for inspections, permits, and certifications


9.Technology and Future Readiness

  • Integrate smart building systems, automation, and digital infrastructure
  • Enable scalability, hybrid work environments, and future business needs

  • Completion of project within 36 months

Experience


  • 15 to 25 years in large scale commercial or corporate infrastructure projects
  • Proven experience in delivering projects of similar size and complexity
  • Strong experience in green building projects and LEED certification processes preferred


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Postgraduate qualification in Project Management or Construction Management preferred
  • Skills

  • Deep expertise in project execution, contracts, and cost management
  • Familiarity with LEED certification requirements and sustainability frameworks
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and large teams
