Job Description

This Product Analyst will be responsible for defining features and user stories, articulating use cases, and defining the e2e customer experience for Value Generation and Retention (Customer Value Portal/Customer Treatment Tool) and will work closely with other Product Managers, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, UX Designers, Business Rules developers, Release Train Engineer among other colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Product Managers and Product Owners to define new product features, scope, and functionality.
  • Translate the customer experiences into Features and User Stories, following SAFe/Agile methodology.
  • Work with central and local market cross-functional teams to ensure capabilities meet market needs and adhere to local regulatory, compliance and risk requirements
  • Develop global capabilities and features that can be deployed locally.
  • Obtain feedback on the product to iterate and drive improvements in future releases
  • Work with Product Owners to prioritize user stories for the scrum team.
  • Maintain pulse on external developments and internal product development to assess implications for our products.

Qualifications

  • Product management experience and the ability to coordinate multiple priorities at once and an ability to work in a dynamic, time-critical environment
  • Knowledge of product/tech development frameworks used: Agile, Agile SAFe, Scrum, Kanban, DevOps, OKR, LPM, etc.
  • Understanding of American Express product development processes, known as a business person who can speak both tech and business languages.
  • Knowledge and previous experience in Product Analyst role for minimum of 1year.
  • Curiosity and hunger to know how things work and ability to use that knowledge to find enhancement opportunities.
  • Detailed oriented, able to identify key questions, make product decisions and determine how pieces of the puzzle interact and impact the overall project
  • Recognize issues quickly and determine how to go about getting resolution.
  • Highly organized, taking individual initiative and accountability for getting results.
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to engage, influence and inspire partners to drive collaboration and alignment.
  • Bachelor’s degree or similar working experience will be preferred.
  • Manage initiatives independently / with some support.
