As part of the acceleration of its external growth strategy in Europe and across its current markets (Middle East / Africa), BUTEC Group, a recognized international player in construction, energy and services, is recruiting a Senior Manager / Director M&A.
Role & Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the Group CEO, Chief Financial Officer and Organizational Development Director, you will have full ownership of M&A transactions and be fully accountable for their success, from origination through to post-merger integration:
- End-to-end deal ownership of strategic M&A transactions (acquisitions, partnerships, carve-outs)
- Proactive identification and screening of targets aligned with BUTEC’s strategic priorities, in Europe and across its current markets (Middle East / Africa)
- Structuring transaction approaches and overseeing financial analyses, valuations and business plans
- Coordinating and supervising due diligence processes (financial, legal, ESG, strategic)
- Leading negotiations and transaction structuring
- Preparing, presenting and defending investment cases before governance bodies (Executive Committee, Investment Committee, Board)
- Driving post-acquisition integration and monitoring long-term value creation
Profile
- Top-tier education in finance, engineering or business school
- 8–15 years of experience in M&A, investment banking, private equity or within a corporate M&A function
- Strong understanding of the challenges and markets of construction, energy, water, infrastructure and services
- High level of autonomy and accountability in managing transactions, with a strong results and value-creation mindset
- Demonstrated ability to make decisions, arbitrate and engage senior-level stakeholders
- Excellent interpersonal, strategic and political skills
- Fluent in English and in French; experience in the Middle East and/or Africa is a strong plus
