This role operates between strategic leadership and execution — partnering with firm leadership to shape priorities while guiding advisor teams and coordinating internal marketing resources. The Director establishes structure, improves processes, and elevates how the firm communicates and presents itself to clients and prospects.
Success in this role comes from influence, judgment, and operational leadership rather than technical channel expertise.

- Advisors communicate with clients and prospects in a clear, professional, and consistent manner across the firm
- Marketing operates proactively through defined processes rather than reactive requests
- Client and advisor events reinforce brand quality and relationship depth
- Leadership has visibility into marketing priorities, capacity, and impact
- The marketing team works efficiently with fewer last-minute escalations
- The firm’s overall presentation and reputation measurably improves over time
- Translate firm priorities into clear marketing initiatives and operating plans
- Establish and maintain marketing processes, workflows, and service standards
- Prioritize competing requests and allocate marketing resources effectively
- Identify opportunities to improve how teams communicate and present themselves
- Provide recommendations to leadership regarding messaging and positioning
- Serve as senior marketing partner to advisor teams and office leaders
- Partner with compliance to guide advisors on communication strategy, materials, and client engagement approach
- Help shape thought leadership and public presence of advisors
- Redirect or refine requests to maintain brand alignment and effectiveness
- Balance personalization with firmwide consistency
- Own the consistency and clarity of firm messaging across channels
- Oversee review of client-facing materials, presentations, and communications
- Develop frameworks for repeatable communications and campaigns
- Oversee marketing approach to events and key client interactions
- Elevate meeting, presentation, and event experience standards
- Ensure communication planning surrounds major initiatives and touchpoints
- Provide direction to marketing coordinator and coordinate execution priorities
- Partner with the CMO on strategic initiatives and capacity planning
- Improve internal visibility of marketing work and timelines
- Develop scalable processes as the firm grows
- 5+ years in marketing, communications, or brand leadership within a relationship-driven industry
- Experience guiding stakeholders and influencing decisions without direct authority
- Strong written communication and messaging instincts
- Demonstrated ability to create structure and improve workflows
- Comfortable interacting with senior professionals and leadership
- Highly organized with strong prioritization judgment
- Ability to work in a traditional professional office setting or remote equivalent
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Advanced computer skills and ability to effectively operate computer equipment, software systems and databases
- Work schedule may vary and is determined by project schedules
- Ability to efficiently operate all job-related office equipment
- Ability to communicate via telephone, computer and work in virtual teams
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time
- Ability to travel using personal vehicle to other office locations as needed
