Job Description

GE Vernova Wind | Zaragoza, Spain | Permanent | On-site

At GE Vernova Wind, we're shaping the future of energy by helping power the world more reliably, affordably, and sustainably. In Zaragoza, our Learning Center plays a vital role in preparing the next generation of wind service technicians with the technical expertise, safety mindset, and confidence they need to succeed in the field.

We are looking for a Technical Trainer to join our team and help deliver high-quality technical and safety training for wind turbine service technicians. This is a hands-on, center-based role where you'll bring complex concepts to life, support learner development, and contribute directly to the global energy transition.

What you'll do

  • Deliver pre-developed theoretical and practical training on GE Vernova wind turbine platforms including 1.X, 2.X, 3.X, and Cypress
  • Lead engaging classroom sessions for both new and experienced technicians, adapting your style to different learning needs
  • Facilitate practical, hands-on exercises that build real-world technical confidence
  • Support trainees through VR-based learning modules, adding context and guidance throughout
  • Ensure all sessions are delivered in line with GE Vernova safety standards
  • Maintain a safe, professional training environment and verify correct PPE use
  • Adapt your approach to the experience level of each group and help bridge the gap between theory and field application
  • Support troubleshooting discussions across electrical and mechanical systems
  • Accurately document attendance, progress, and training outcomes
  • Work closely with the wider training team to keep daily operations running smoothly
  • Liaise with the Lab Technician to ensure tools, equipment, and the learning environment are ready
  • Occasionally travel to wind farm sites or international locations to support field training

What you'll bring

  • Electrical certification or a degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Technical knowledge of wind turbines, ideally GE products
  • A strong sense of accountability and the ability to deliver results even in challenging situations
  • A genuine interest in knowledge sharing and developing others
  • Confident, engaging communication skills
  • Fluency in English and Spanish
  • Willingness to travel occasionally across Europe, around 15% of the time

Highly desirable

  • Driver's license
  • Strong technical confidence and comfort using digital tools
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • High motivation to drive positive change
  • An adaptable, safety-conscious, and proactive mindset
  • Confidence working with modern learning technologies, including VR

What to expect

  • A stable, structured, center-based role in Zaragoza
  • Exposure to a broad portfolio of GE Vernova onshore wind technology
  • Opportunities for occasional international and site-based training
  • The chance to work with cutting-edge tools, including VR learning
  • A meaningful role with direct impact on the capability of wind technicians worldwide

If you're motivated by sharing knowledge, developing people, and contributing to a cleaner energy future, this is a great opportunity to make a real difference.
