Job Description
The Chief of Staff acts as a strategic partner to the CEO on all aspects of the business, drives correct priorities, coordinates cross-functional initiatives, and ensures effective execution of key objectives. The role also streamlines decision-making, manages communications, prepares both EBMs (Executive Board Meetings) and SHMs (Shareholder Meetings), and aligns stakeholders across the organization.
- Act as trusted advisor and sounding board to the CEO on operational, organizational, and strategic matters
- Ensure smooth and effective Board‑level coordination, including Executive Board Meetings and associated governing bodies, and prepare agendas, minutes, and presentations for EBMs/SHMs
- Improve organizational and leadership effectiveness by establishing scalable processes, governance structures, meeting cadences, and robust action tracking, issue resolution, and cross‑functional collaboration
- Lead special projects and transformation initiatives on behalf of the CEO and Executive Board, acting as project lead across a broad range of topics including strategy, communications, and cross‑functional initiatives
- Monitor progress against company objectives, KPIs, and key initiatives; identify risks and escalation points early
- Support strategic and annual operating planning processes, ensuring organizational prioritization, alignment, and follow‑through across functions, geographies, and senior stakeholders
- Drive preparation and follow-up for leadership offsites, board workshops, and strategic reviews
- Build strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to support business objectives
- Support strategic planning, annual operating planning, and organizational prioritization processes
- Prepare decision-making materials, business analyses, and recommendations for executive leadership
- Represent the CEO in meetings and initiatives where appropriate
- Manage sensitive and confidential matters with discretion and sound judgement
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in business administration, finance, commercial or equivalent
- 2-5 years of relevant experience in basic business fundamentals is necessary
- Experience in the PV or renewable industry is desirable
- Business strategy understanding & ability to effectively spar with the CEO and Board
- Strong people skills to coordinate the Board, shareholders, and senior leadership
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and Word
- Proficiency in English both written & verbal, German language is a plus
