Graphic Designer (Part-Time / Hourly)

Blue Sky is seeking a Graphic Designer to support the development of professional infographics, report layouts, and publication-ready materials for a federal civilian safety organization.

The ideal candidate has experience translating technical content into visually compelling and compliant deliverables.

This is a Hybrid position, and you must be able to go into the office 2-3 times a week, at the Norfolk, VA location.

Key Responsibilities

• Design infographics supporting safety and operational publications
• Develop layouts for annual reports and newsletters
• Apply federal branding and formatting guidance
• Prepare print-ready and digital-ready deliverables
• Maintain organized and editable Adobe source files
• Support Section 508 accessibility compliance in visual products

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or related field
• 3+ years professional graphic design experience
• Portfolio demonstrating infographics and publication layout
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat)
• Experience working with structured technical content
• U.S. Citizen
• Eligible for Secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting federal government clients
• Experience producing annual reports
• Experience ensuring accessibility-compliant design
• Familiarity with federal publication standards
