We currently have an exciting opportunity in our Planning department. This position specifically is located in Norfolk, Virginia. We are looking for a NMD Administrator. The hours are M-F, 7am – 4pm/1hr lunch.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND PURPOSE (Job Description)
The Navy Maintenance Database (NMD) Administrator is responsible for providing daily coordination and management of the Navy Maintenance database (NMD) and NASSCO’s database systems. Communicates with internal and external customers including Navy and Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC).
POSITION DEMANDS (Education/Training)
Typically has a BA/BS in a related field, or AA/AS plus two (2) years’ directly related experience, or four (4) years’ directly related experience.
Basic knowledge of NMD and NASSCO databases procedures.
POSITION DEMANDS (Required Experience)
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Must be self-motivated, proactive individual with strong interpersonal skills and good oral and written communication skills.
- Must qualify for a Common Access Card (CAC) or SMART card.
- Must be computer literate.

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
Reports to the Planning Manager for duties and assignments. Maintains internal contact with Planning, Scheduling, Estimating, Contracts, Business Development, IT, Engineering, Production and Program Management Departments. Interacts with NMD and internal and external users. This position has no direct reports.
Principal Responsibilities
- Communicate, input, extract, analyze and validate Condition Reports (CFR), Request for Contract Change (RCC) and Work Specifications within NMD and NASSCO’s database systems.
- Input of all estimate (A Sheet) data into NMD.
- Retrieve, upload and distribute gov’t approved documents.
- Resolve conflicts between internal and external customers related to NMD and NASSCO database status.
- Reply to Government questions concerning status of Work Specification and RCC development.
- Performs additional duties as assigned by managers.
- Assist customers with availability closeout issues.
- Support the duties and responsibilities of the Tech Lib as directed by the supervisor.

Unique/Additional Requirements
- Must be a U.S. citizen and qualify for a CAC.
- Must have a reliable record of attendance and punctuality and be available for overtime as required.
- Must be able to physically transit all areas of the facility.
- Regularly required to sit, use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects or controls, and to talk and hear.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- Must have good eye/hand coordination.
