Position Summary:
The Account Manager works closely with the Account Executive to ensure the effective delivery of the employee benefits program to large group clients. In this role, you will work closely with clients, carriers, vendors, and the Account Executive to deliver a remarkable client experience that supports their overall business objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Works closely with the assigned Account Executive to provide service support to assigned clients
- Cultivate strong relationships by understanding client needs, anticipating challenges, and proactively addressing concerns
- Collaborate with the Account Executive and Producer(s) to ensure all benefit related tasks are completed
- Stay informed on industry regulations and compliance requirements
- Work closely with clients to ensure ERISA compliance responsibilities are met timely and with accuracy
- Facilitate broker compliance tasks while indemnifying company risk
- Investigate and resolve complex benefit related inquiries and concerns, demonstrating a commitment to client satisfaction
- Provide clear and concise communication regarding industry updates, policy changes, benefits education, and other relevant information
- Maintain detailed and accurate records using our internal agency management system, shared file system and other applicable software applications
- Create employee benefit guides, presentations and other key documents that are client and employee facing
- Learn and maintain benefit administration platforms as needed
- Complies with agency management data standards and timing requirements
- Acknowledge and respond to all client requests timely and professionally
- Develop and maintain excellent carrier and vendor relationships
- Performs other tasks on projects as needed/assigned to support the overall development and advancement of the Employee Benefits tea
- 2+ plus years of group employee benefits brokerage experience
- Active resident Accident Life & Health License required
- Deep understanding of ERISA and other compliance regulations as they pertain to group benefit plans
- Effective communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, in-person and virtual
- Demonstrates high level of professionalism and business acumen in all written and verbal communications
- Experience with MS Office and data management software; benefits administration software highly desired
- Strong attention to detail, pride of work ownership, ability to work independently and with a team
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment leveraging strong planning, organizational and prioritization skills
- Ability to travel for client and prospect meetings as needed
- Located in either Pacific or Mountain Time Zone
