This role sits at the intersection of:
- Finance (FP&A, cash flow, reporting)
- Product (ownership, roadmap, delivery)
- Data & AI (ETL, automation, forecasting)
- Business stakeholders (CFOs, operators)
- Engineering and data teams
- Internal consulting teams
Key Responsibilities
Product Ownership & Delivery
- Own and manage the product backlog, user stories, and priorities for financial platform initiatives
- Define product vision and roadmap aligned with business and client needs
- Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications and user stories
- Drive delivery through Agile/Scrum processes (sprint planning, backlog grooming, UAT, releases)
Bring strong understanding of:
- Cash flow forecasting (ideally 13-week cash flow)
- FP&A workflows and reporting
- Business needs
- Accuracy and compliance requirements
- Data, AI & Technology
- ETL processes and data pipelines
- Financial data integration (ERP, banking, APIs)
- AI-driven forecasting tools
- Automation of financial workflows
- Work with cloud-based systems (AWS, Azure, GCP) to enable scalable solutions
- Act as the primary liaison between business users and technical teams
- Finance teams
- Engineering
- Data / analytics teams
- Gather and refine requirements from internal and external stakeholders
- Support data integration, migration, and modernization initiatives
- Meet business objectives
- Scale effectively across clients
- Reporting
- Forecasting
- Financial processes
Strong experience as a:
- Product Owner / Product Manager / Business Analyst
- Financial domain (FP&A, accounting, consulting, fintech, etc.)
- ETL processes, data pipelines, and data integration
- Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Agile / Scrum methodology
- Write clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and documentation
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Experience in:
- Fintech, financial platforms, or consulting environments
- Startup or high-growth companies
- AI / machine learning applications in finance
- Financial modeling / cash flow forecasting
- ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, etc.)
- BI / analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau)
