QualDerm Partners is currently seeking a skilled Dermatology Medical Assistant to join our Valparaiso, IN team. Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs and documenting comprehensive medical histories
• Assist physicians during patient exams and procedures, providing necessary tools and support
• Perform basic laboratory tests and handle specimen collection for analysis
• Maintain accurate, confidential patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations
• Manage appointment scheduling and support effective communication within the practice
• Educate patients on treatment plans, medication administration, and skincare routines
• Ensure examination rooms are kept clean, organized, and stocked with required medical supplies

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Assistant certification preferred
• Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or similar clinical role is advantageous
• Understanding of medical terminology related to dermatology
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written for effective patient interactions
• Ability to manage sensitive patient information with the utmost confidentiality
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in a medical setting
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and standard office software is beneficial
