Accountant (Part Time)

HALEYS is seeking a qualified Part-Time Accountant to manage all financial transactions and ensure the accurate maintenance of the general ledger. The ideal candidate will possess prior experience in bookkeeping and demonstrate a strong numerical aptitude. This position is remote and requires a commitment of 30 hours per month.
Responsibilities:
- Record accounts payable disbursements and payments.
- Compile and post credit card transactions.
- Prepare and post payroll journal entries.
- Post invoices and cash receipts.
- Reconcile cash accounts with bank statements.
- Ensure each transaction is accurately recorded in the appropriate account.
- Manage month-end closings.
- Complete quarterly California and monthly Washington sales and use tax filings.
- Execute year-end 1099-NEC and 1099-MISC forms, along with various state requirements.
Qualifications:
- Proven work experience as an Accountant.
- Extensive knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Proficient in QuickBooks accounting software.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP and pivot tables.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
