Our story is grounded in entrepreneurship and trust. We know that our success depends on the distinctive quality of our services, the creativity of our ideas, and our unwavering commitment to clients. This belief, that each client truly matters, guides our strategies and is reflected in everything we deliver.

About the job

To support the continued growth of our activities, NOVE is seeking to recruit a Consultant with 2 to 3 years of relevant professional experience to join our Technology Practice, starting as soon as possible.

If you are proactive, eager to deepen your expertise, passionate about EU affairs, and comfortable working both autonomously and as part of a dynamic team, this position represents an excellent next step in your career. Candidates should be comfortable working both autonomously and as part of a dynamic team, contributing to a diverse range of public affairs and strategic communication activities. Prior experience in managing client accounts would be considered a strong asset.

We value flexibility and professionalism. In return, we offer a truly collegial working environment and the opportunity to meet the high standards our clients expect.

Role and responsibilities

Working under the guidance of NOVE’s Directors, you will be responsible for:

  • Serving as the main point of contact for several Tech clients and demonstrating confidence built on prior experience;
  • Developing strategic recommendations and positioning based on solid previous exposure to EU policy work;
  • Monitoring developments and analysing EU policies and legislation;
  • Ensuring the high-quality execution of daily tasks and contributing your experience to strengthen overall outputs;
  • Researching and drafting background notes and analyses;
  • Attending external events and institutional meetings and reporting back with clear, actionable insights.

Qualifications and skills

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English; knowledge of other European languages is a strong asset;
  • A Master’s degree in political science, economics, European affairs/studies, law, or a related field;
  • Previous professional experience in a consultancy or in-house public affairs role, an EU institution, a trade association, or another relevant environment;
  • At least 2–3 years of experience working on Tech and digital policy issues; experience as an account manager is a valued asset;
  • Strong research and analytical abilities, with the capacity to turn complex information into concise, accessible formats;
  • Demonstrated understanding of the EU decision-making process and stakeholder landscape; an established network in Brussels is an asset;
  • Excellent time-management skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently;
  • Good command of standard Microsoft Office tools;
  • Strong team spirit, collaborative mindset, and a positive, solutions-oriented attitude.

Why this role?

This position offers an excellent opportunity to build on your existing experience in public affairs while gaining further exposure to high-level EU policy work. It is a solid springboard for developing your expertise in technology policy and for advancing your career within a respected and growing agency.
