About the role

We are looking for a senior Product Manager / Product Owner to own Sygnum’s Core Platforms International capabilities end-to-end. You define the platform strategy and roadmap while also ensuring stable day-to-day operations (change & run). You will translate business and regulatory needs into an outcome-driven backlog and deliver with technology, operations, compliance, and external vendors.

You will act as the central interface across stakeholders and partners and lead a dedicated Scrum team. Close alignment with the Core Banking CH team is essential to ensure coherent architecture, shared standards, and smooth operational handovers across platforms and geographies. The role partners closely with teams in Singapore to support APAC business operations, requiring strong cross-regional collaboration and flexibility across time zones.

Your main responsibilities

• Own the Core Platforms International end-to-end, from product discovery and roadmap definition through delivery, launch, and ongoing operations (incl. incident resolution)
• Define and drive product vision, roadmap, and priorities, translating business, client, and regulatory needs into a clear, outcome-driven backlog
• Act as the single accountable interface across business, operations, compliance, and technology, actively managing trade-offs and ensuring alignment across geographies
• Lead the Scrum team end-to-end, including backlog ownership, sprint prioritization, and facilitation of all agile ceremonies to ensure strong delivery discipline
• Drive a scalable, API-first platform architecture, while localizing capabilities to meet market-specific needs across geographies
• Partner closely with engineering on platform design choices (integration patterns, data flows, security, resilience, performance), and ensure non-functional requirements are explicit, prioritized, and validated
• Ensure operational stability and continuous improvement, including onboarding of new clients and markets, service quality, and contribution to Sygnum’s digital asset strategy (bridging TradFi and DeFi)

Our ideal candidate

You are a senior product leader who combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution. You can turn complex, regulated requirements into a clear product vision, measurable outcomes, and an actionable backlog while partnering effectively across technology, operations, risk, and external vendors. You bring:

• 5+ years of experience in product management/product ownership for complex platforms in highly regulated environments (banking, payments, market infrastructure, etc.)
• Strong understanding of core banking capabilities and operating models (accounts, payments, ledger, reconciliation)
• Proven ability to run product discovery, define product strategy/roadmaps, and manage prioritization using clear outcomes, metrics, and trade-offs
• Strong vendor and stakeholder management skills, incl. defining scope/SLAs and onboarding/operating third-party platforms
• Analytical, data-informed mindset with the ability to structure ambiguity into decisions, plans, and a high-quality backlog
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with confidence engaging senior stakeholders and alignment across functions and jurisdictions
• High ownership mindset, comfortable with both change and run (incl. incident triage, root-cause follow-up, and continuous improvement)
• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, computer science, or equivalent practical experience

Nice to have

• Experience scaling platform products in high-growth environments
• API-first product experience (integrations, event-driven architecture) and comfort collaborating with engineering on architecture and non-functional requirements
• Familiarity with digital assets / tokenization, and/or exposure to core banking vendors and ecosystems (e.g., Finnova)
• Experience working with globally distributed teams (e.g., EU/Asia), flexibility to collaborate across time zones, and willingness to travel occasionally within the EU and/or to Asia
• Understanding of operational resilience, outsourcing governance and regulatory expectations across jurisdictions including Singapore/MAS.
