As a key consultant, you are required to observe targeted policy development, decode it on economic significance, and thereby provide strategic advice to help clients to navigate in the targeted market, with a focus in critical sectors like Electric Vehicles, Renewable Energy, and Digital Infrastructure.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Conduct In-Depth Policy & Geopolitical Analysis: Systematically monitor and analyze Hungary's domestic political dynamics, legislative/regulatory trends, key industrial policies, and its positioning and interplay within the EU, the Visegrád Group (V4), and major power relations. Produce strategic analysis reports that integrally link political dynamics to business implications.
- Deliver Geopolitically-Informed Commercial Advice: Synthesize macro-geopolitical and policy analysis with specific industry trends and business models to design market entry, expansion, and government affairs strategies for clients that balance opportunity capture with risk mitigation.
- Support Strategic Project Execution & Engagement: Leverage your understanding of Hungarian public sector operations to assist clients in high-stakes investment projects with effective government communication, compliance pathway planning, and key stakeholder management.

- Profound Public Policy & Geopolitical Analysis Skills: Ability to look beyond surface events and analyze the underlying drivers of domestic political dynamics, policymaking, and EU rule constraints, accurately assessing their cascading impact on the business environment.
- Exceptional Ability to Translate Analysis into Strategy: Expertise in translating complex political and geopolitical analysis into clear, actionable business language, scenario planning, and specifie strategic options that directly serve investment decisions.
- Proven Public Affairs Experience: A demonstrated track record of successfully navigating complex public affairs, government engagement, or providing policy navigation for major investment projects in Hungary, with deep knowledge of local decision-making processes and key stakeholders.
- Maintain Strategic Insight Networks: Proactively cultivate and maintain deep connections with Hungarian government bodies, regulatory agencies, think tanks, and industry associations to gain forward-looking information
Skills and Attributes for Success
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience regarding Hungarian affairs.
- Prior background in consulting (geopolitics/public policy practice).
- Well-connected in international organizations, think tanks, corporate government affairs, or relevant national public sector.
