Your responsibilities

  • Responsible for compliance with the procurement guidelines
  • ensures on-time delivery of production material for new projects and prototypes in the right quantity, at the right price and in the quality required
  • Ensures the achievement of cost targets in the acquisition phase and minimizes the risks within its purchasing part
  • Obtains offers with subsequent purchase price analysis
  • Prepares documents for the procurement conference and makes recommendations for suppliers for new projects. These are discussed and agreed with the team and the commodity management.
  • Conducts final and contract negotiations in cooperation with the Commodity Management and then initiates the order
  • Responsible for documentation and traceability of the price development of the corresponding design states (cost break down, value analysis, cost walk, VA/VE in coordination with the commodity management etc.)
  • Manages supplier integration during the development phases according to the procurement process for new projects
  • Support of internal customers in solving problems, if necessary by calling in suppliers
  • Coordinates the procurement of tools in coordination with the Commodity Management (in case of changes)
  • Supports SQM from APQP Kick-Off up to sampling grade 1
  • Implements the necessary processes / process changes with regard to the points relevant for purchasing
  • Support yearly budgeting process for procurement material
  • Monitors the prototype quality together with the Q department and prototype disposition => derives activities out of this with the focus on commercial aspects, lessons learned, contractual frame work, (e.g. QAA, MPA etc.) in corporation with GCM and quality department

Your profile

  • Commercial degree with sound technical background or technical degree with additional commercial training
  • At least 3 years of experience in automotive/large series production
  • Intercultural experience, enjoys to work in cross country / cross cultural team
  • Negotiation skills
  • Very good knowledge of English, other foreign languages are an advantage
  • Social competence / ability to work in a team
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office/SAP
  • High resilience, confident appearance, assertiveness
  • Flexibility, high degree of teamwork
  • Project experience
