A New York-based entertainment public relations firm specializing in film and television is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Publicity Assistant to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent college graduate or early-career candidate looking to build a career in entertainment publicity, media relations, and film publicity.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, creative, and passionate about film, television, and film festivals. Strong communication and writing skills are essential, along with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Position Details
· Full-time, entry-level position
· Hybrid schedule: employees are expected to work in-office two days per week
· Standard hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:30 PM ET
· Flexibility for occasional overtime and weekend work during events or press cycles may be required
Salary & Benefits
· Salary range: $38,000 – $40,000 annually

Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Compile and distribute daily press break memos and media clippings
· Coordinate appointments and scheduling
· Assist with email campaigns and media outreach
· Support press pitching efforts
· Prepare and maintain status reports, tune-in notices, and wrap reports
· Assist during press days, screenings, and publicity events
· Cover press screenings and industry events as needed
· Maintain and update press and media databases
· Provide administrative and operational support to the publicity team
Qualifications
Preferred candidates will possess:
· A degree or coursework in Communications, Public Relations, Film Studies, or a related field
· Previous internship experience in entertainment publicity or public relations
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
· Familiarity with online media, entertainment news, and social media platforms
· A proactive attitude and willingness to take initiative
· Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
· Strong attention to detail and follow-through
· Passion for film, television, entertainment media, and film festivals
