Senior Business Development Manager

You will play a critical role in strengthening our presence in markets where we currently operate and identifying new growth opportunities where our footprint is limited.
This position requires a high level of ownership, resilience, and a hands-on attitude, as well as the ability to work collaboratively across internal teams such as Portfolio, Quality, Legal, Regulatory, and Commercial functions. A strong connection with the Polpharma ecosystem and understanding of industrial pharmaceutical business models will be highly valued.
Requirements:
- Drive business growth by developing existing accounts and identifying new clients in target markets
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and co-development projects
- Lead commercial negotiations, bringing creativity and flexibility to reach win-win agreements
- Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with clients and key stakeholders
- Define and execute commercial strategies aligned with global business objectives
- Work closely with internal stakeholders (Portfolio, Quality, Legal, Regulatory, Commercial teams) to ensure alignment and feasibility of proposals
- Analyze market trends, pricing, regulatory landscapes, and competitive positioning
- Contribute to business planning, including budgets, forecasts, and strategic plans
- Represent the company in international meetings, events, and client interactions
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences (Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biotechnology or similar) or Business-related field
- At least 5-8 years of experience in Business Development or a similar commercial role
- Mandatory: Proven experience in the pharmaceutical industry in a B2B environment
- Proven track record in managing client relationships and driving business growth
- Strong negotiation skills, with a creative and solution-oriented approach
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- High level of proactivity, ownership, and hands-on attitude
- Strong teamwork orientation and collaborative mindset
- Ability to work in an international and cross-functional environment
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Availability to travel internationally
