- The Surgical Services Department at Montrose Regional Health is committed to providing quality surgical services and improve the quality of life for our patients. We provide surgical services 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
- Functions as an instrument technician, coordinating and assembling appropriate instrumentation for each individual case, passing instrumentation, appropriate medications, and anticipates the needs of the surgeon. Follows the established plan of care and provides direct surgical care interventions within the scope of practice. Works under the supervision of the OR Clinical Coordinator, Director of Surgical Services and/or RN (Circulator). Collaborates with unit/hospital staff and other health professionals.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Must be a graduate of an approved Surgical Technician program.
- Training & Experience: BCLS Certification. Must have had experience in OB, Gynecology, Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, ENT, Plastics, Dental, and Urology cases.
- Job Knowledge: Knowledge of surgical instrumentation - use, care, and cleaning. Ability to manage instruments in the variety of cases listed above.
