We are expanding our go-to-market organization to support continued growth across patent and trademark renewals, while building a foundation for broader service offerings, including filings, translations, and recordals.


Position

We are seeking a Senior Account Executive to drive new business and expand existing relationships across law firms and corporate IP teams within the DACH region. This is a full-cycle, quota-carrying role focused on generating pipeline, closing new business, and expanding existing accounts. This role requires a consultative sales approach and the ability to operate in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.


Key Responsibilities

-New Business Development

  • Proactively identify and pursue new opportunities within law firms and corporate IP departments
  • Build and manage a self-sourced pipeline through outbound prospecting, networking, referrals, and industry engagement
  • Conduct discovery conversations to understand client needs and position Sun IP solutions effectively
  • Deliver tailored presentations to IP professionals, including attorneys, partners, and IP operations teams
  • Represent Sun IP at industry conferences, events, and client meetings across the DACH region


-Solution Selling

  • Sell across Sun IP’s service portfolio, with a primary focus on patent and trademark renewals
  • Position additional offerings, including filings, translations, recordals, and IP support services
  • Navigate multi-stakeholder sales cycles across legal, operational, and procurement stakeholders
  • Clearly articulate value through service quality, risk mitigation, and operational efficiency


-Account Management and Expansion

  • Serve as a strategic advisor and primary point of contact for assigned accounts
  • Identify and execute upsell and cross-sell opportunities across Sun IP’s service offerings
  • Build and execute account plans to grow revenue within existing clients
  • Maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and responsiveness


-Pipeline and Forecast Management

  • Maintain accurate pipeline and forecasting within CRM systems
  • Follow structured sales processes and stage definitions
  • Participate in regular pipeline reviews and forecasting discussions
  • Consistently build and maintain pipeline coverage aligned with quota expectations


Required Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience selling IP services or solutions
  • Direct experience selling patent and trademark renewals is required
  • Experience with filings, translations, and recordals is strongly preferred
  • Proven track record of generating pipeline and closing new business
  • Experience selling into law firms and corporate IP teams within the DACH region

  • Ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles
  • Strong communication and presentation skills in German and English
  • High level of ownership, accountability, and urgency
  • Ability to operate effectively in a growth-oriented environment

  • Act as a thought leader in client conversations and industry engagements
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings, conferences, and events
  • Occasional travel for internal meetings and team collaboration
