Career Development Services Director (Years 7–13)

Diocesan School for Girls is seeking a strategic and forward-thinking leader to drive a future-focused careers programme across Years 7–13.

Job Description

This is a key leadership role, responsible for shaping and implementing an innovative and comprehensive career development strategy across Years 7–13. You will work collaboratively with staff, students, whānau, and external partners to ensure every student develops the skills, knowledge, and confidence to navigate their future.

Mō te tūranga | About the role

  • Lead a school-wide careers programme aligned to the NZ Curriculum
  • Provide personalised guidance and support senior student pathways
  • Build partnerships with tertiary providers and industry
  • Lead the Career Development Centre and a small team
  • Oversee scholarships, applications, and key career initiatives
  • Use data to inform planning and continuous improvement

An experienced leader with strong strategic thinking, relationship skills, and a passion for supporting young people. Teaching and/or career development qualifications are an advantage.
