Business Intelligence Developer

BI Developer | Contract (3-4 months) | ASAP start | Auckland

Join a large complex NZ organisation undergoing the modernisation of one of its core digital systems.

About The Role

In this role you will work closely with existing analytical teams to ensure reporting remains accurate and fit for purpose as the underlying database structures evolve.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include

• Testing and modifying existing reports and dashboards as database changes are implemented
• Developing and optimising SQL queries for data extraction and manipulation
• Designing, maintaining, and improving reports across Power BI, SSRS, and/or Business Objects
• Applying data visualisation best practices to communicate insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Supporting ETL processes and data warehousing activities throughout the project

About you

You Are a Confident BI Developer Who Can Step Into a Complex Environment And Contribute From Day One. You Will Bring

• Strong SQL skills with hands-on experience in data extraction and transformation
• Proficiency in Power BI and experience with SSRS and/or Business Objects
• Solid grounding in data modelling, data warehousing, and ETL concepts
• Clear communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
