Senior Electrical Design Engineer

We're currently looking for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join a growing engineering team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to lead HV/MV electrical design projects across sectors including Substations, Renewable Energy (Solar & Wind), and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).

Key Responsibilities Include

• Leading electrical design projects from concept through to completion
• Delivering HV/MV design solutions including substations, transformers, switchgear, and protection systems
• Producing technical reports, specifications, and design documentation
• Working closely with clients, utilities, and multidisciplinary project teams
• Mentoring and supporting Graduate and Junior Engineers
• Representing the business in technical and client-facing discussions

Requirements

• Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• 5+ years' experience within electrical design engineering
• Strong HV/MV design experience including substations and grid connections
• Experience with electrical infrastructure design, protection relays, and control systems
• Proficiency in EPLAN and AutoCAD
• Strong understanding of health & safety and quality standards
