We serve E&P companies, financial institutions, governments, and the service sector, helping clients make smarter decisions on valuations, opportunities, and decarbonization strategies. As we continue to expand our presence within U.S. banking, we are seeking a high-performing Account Manager to drive growth across this client base.
Role Description
This is an Account Management role focused on retaining and growing Welligence’s banking client base across the U.S. You will own a portfolio of financial institutions, driving subscription renewals and account expansion while also winning new logos to broaden our footprint in the sector. A key part of the role is coordinating across Welligence’s global offices to ensure our banking clients receive seamless support across the world.
The ideal candidate is commercially driven, comfortable selling a technical data product to sophisticated financial buyers, and able to navigate complex organizations to deliver consistent revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
Account Management & Growth
- Own and grow a portfolio of banking clients across the U.S.
- Build and maintain senior-level relationships within key accounts
- Drive account expansion through upselling and cross-selling
- Manage and execute subscription renewals with high retention rates
New Business Development
- Identify and win new clients within the U.S. banking sector
- Build and manage a pipeline across existing account expansion and new logo acquisition, converting opportunities into subscription revenue
- Expand Welligence’s footprint within target institutions
Client Engagement & Networking
- Meet clients regularly in person across Houston and wider U.S. markets
- Actively network to build relationships and uncover opportunities
- Represent Welligence at industry events and conferences
Collaboration
- Coordinate with Welligence offices worldwide to deliver joined-up service to global banking clients
- Partner with regional teams to develop account strategies and share market intelligence
- Act as the primary point of contact for U.S. financial sector clients, ensuring their needs are routed to the right expertise across the business
Key Requirements
- A minimum of 10 years of account management experience with a proven track record of retaining, renewing, and expanding client relationships
- Experience owning a revenue target and consistently delivering against growth objectives
- Background in subscription-based products or services preferred
- Banking or financial services experience preferred
- Experience in the oil & gas industry highly desirable
- Strong networker with the ability to build relationships quickly
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a global team
