Tractorbeam is looking for an Account Director to join our Creative Division. Reporting to the Director of Creative Operations, the Account Director is a leader across various accounts, overseeing project success and quality, client retention, and the financial health of your accounts. This individual will guide client satisfaction and serve as their primary point of contact.
Responsibilities:
Project Management & Operations
- Develop comprehensive strategic and creative briefs that translate client objectives into clear, actionable direction for internal teams
- Develop and own client project action plans and calendars for internal creative teams to meet quick-turn as well as long-lead client deadlines
- Oversee multiple projects or work streams simultaneously, with concurrent timelines and deliverables
- Conduct regular status meetings to discuss challenges, identify opportunities, and track work in progress
- Assist in the development of statements of work, project scopes, and proposals
- Manage the creative team pipeline and consistently follow up to ensure projects are on track
- Oversee and manage budgets, billing, and invoicing of your assigned accounts
- Collaborate, partner, and communicate effectively with the internal creative and strategy team members to execute the highest quality output of deliverables on time and on budget
- Continuously monitor creative team allocation and capacity to ensure the effective use of team personnel and resources
- Manage contractors and third-party vendors when needed during the fulfillment of projects and production
- Lead and manage assigned project account supervisors, mentor growth, and cultivate a spirit of problem-solving and collaboration
Client Relationship Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for day-to-day client communications for a variety of different accounts and businesses of all sizes
- Oversee the development and refinement of client presentations that effectively communicate strategic recommendations and creative solutions
- Support in the validation of appropriate strategies based on client goals, and drive implementation and execution of client macro strategy and initiatives
- Lead client presentations with a clear rationale and internal strategic discussions with confidence
- Establish and maintain a positive, collaborative relationship with clients, with an eye towards retention and account growth
Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4+ years in an Account Director and/or project management or producer role in a creative agency
- Strong client management skills and experience leading large, complex accounts
- Calm and confident leadership skills with the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams of strategists, designers, and other account professionals to get a project completed to the highest standards
- Ability to drive multiple streams while meeting deadlines and maintaining proper documentation
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to break down complex information into understandable pieces
- Highly organized and process-oriented with critical attention to detail
- Aptitude and ability to lead, train, and manage others
- Ability to maintain focus under pressure, keep a positive and collaborative yet confident demeanor, and quickly facilitate others' involvement when necessary
- High standards for work and behavior; accountable, assertive, and dependable
- Experience with campaign, print, and digital production processes
- Understanding and utilization of project management tools (ex. Wrike, Asana, Monday), Figma, and Adobe Creative Suite
